Those planning budget travel to Bath on their trip to UK will find that they have to do some research to find decent budget accommodation in this west country tourist magnet. In the summer months, those traveling alone will find the best prices on university dorms through sites like Beds at Bath. Prices for these dorms start at 21 pounds per night, or 50 pounds for rooms with en suite bath. Bath Backpackers is a site where local hostels can be booked from 15 pounds per night.
The central location is convenient, but travelers should expect that for the price the dorms can be a bit cramped and lacking in modern comforts. Perhaps one of the cheapest options in the city the the Bath YHA, where dorms start at 10 pounds per night. The building itself is a lovely, historic mansion but sadly it hasn't been kept up very well, and it's location is rather far from the city center.

The jewelry brand Trollbeads is going on a mini tour across Britain to show off their newest products, which are part of their new UK World Tour Collection. A selection of four beads makes up this new range, each of which will only be designed with a British Isles theme and only available in the tours UK. For example, one design will be splashed in red, white and blue tones to celebrate the colors of the Union Jack flag.
The other themes will include an English Tea Party, Love Spoons and Celtic kilt beads, designed as a nod toward England, Wales and Scotland, respectively. This trio will be styled with a splash of stunning silver beads as well. This roadshow comes on the heels of the Trollbeads-sponsored People's Bead competition, which encourages jewelry buffs to design their own beads. April 26th is the deadline for entries, and the winning style will be made into an authentic piece with 18-carat gold accents.

UK travel insurance has become an essential for many British travelers on vacations abroad. It's estimated that UK travel insurance companies pay an average of 5.3 million pounds each week to those travelers who become ill or are involved in accidents overseas. This seems like a surprisingly high figure, but it has to do with the fact that the cost of medical care overseas continues to hit record highs.
A total of $454 million was paid out by travel insurers in the UK in the last year alone, most of this going towards meeting the costs of emergency medical care for British travelers. This represents an increase of over 270% in the past 6 years alone. There were over 300,000 claims filed for emergency medical care overseas, which amounted to about 6,500 claims each week.
